Is the Subaru WRX much faster than the Subaru Impreza?
Yes. With 202kW and 350Nm the WRX accelerates considerably harder than the 115kW Impreza, especially above 60 km/h.
Do they both have all-wheel drive?
Absolutely. Both run Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD, so grip in wet or gravel conditions is a given.
Which is easier to live with day-to-day?
It really depends on what your day looks like. The Impreza’s shorter body, lighter steering and lower fuel use make errands and city driving a breeze, all while giving you the confidence of AWD. But if your daily route includes a few twisty backroads or you simply enjoy an extra hit of performance, the WRX rewards every drive with its turbocharged punch and sport-tuned dynamics.
Can I get a wagon version of Impreza?
No. The current Impreza comes solely as a five-door hatch. If you need wagon practicality the WRX Sportswagon fills that role.
What warranty covers each car?
Both carry Subaru’s 5-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and benefit from capped-price servicing.
