The WRX is more luxurious than you think

Japanese products tend to have a high emphasis on quality and style, with exceptional pride taken in the craftmanship and usability of the end product. As a premium Japanese car manufacturer, Subaru brings a quality, yet very usable touch and feel to their WRX sedan. From the very moment you place your hand on the handle of the driver’s door, upon entering the WRX, you are pleasantly welcomed in with effortless keyless entry, allowing you to unlock the doors with the key in your pocket or even inside your shopping bag. Soon after stepping foot into the WRX Premium, you immediately notice a wide range of soft touch materials on common touch points of the interior.

Adjusting the driver’s seat is effortless; with the touch of a button the seat can be adjusted in multiple directions, including lumbar support for those long drives that often cramp your lower back. The sedan can be started without the need for a mechanical key, as starting the WRX can be done with only the touch of a button (provided the key is within the car). The instrument cluster can be easily configured at the touch of a button on the steering wheel to display a range of important driving information. Over the years I have had the opportunity to drive a range of premium Japanese sedans, and one thing I have noted is the unnecessary added complexity to navigate the multifunction infotainment screens. However, in true Subaru fashion the entire process has been kept as simple as possible to ensure little time is wasted while changing settings.

The WRX is fitted with a stunning infotainment system in the centre of the dashboard, providing not only a clear view from the rear-view reverse camera while parking, but also top of the line Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ entertainment*Compatible Apple® or AndroidTM device required. . This can allow you to transform the infotainment screen into a safe and intuitive way to play music from Spotify, Apple or Google Music, or even quickly respond to a text message via voice to text.
