Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) achieved record March sales of 2509 vehicles, up 33.3 per cent over the same month last year.

It was SCI's best sales month year-to-date, maintaining its status as the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer in Canada in 2010.

Outstanding sales of the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Outback and Legacy (known in Australia as Liberty) contributed to the best March for both models. Outback sales rose by an incredible 642 per cent while Legacy was up 501.9 per cent over March last year.

"Subaru continues to gain popularity among Canadians because we are able to deliver vehicles that offer real value to the market," said Katsuhiro Yokoyama, President and CEO of SCI.

"We remain committed to continually building consumer confidence in our brand by focusing on the award-winning safety, performance and reliability of our line-up of Japanese-engineered vehicles."

Every Subaru sold in Australia features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a horizontally opposed Boxer engine, standard Vehicle Dynamics Control electronic stability program, and a five-star rating for occupant safety from the independent Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
