Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) announced record-breaking sales for February of 1765 vehicles.

Sales across its line-up of symmetrical All-Wheel Drive vehicles were up 2.4 per cent over last February.

It was also the best February ever for Impreza, WRX, WRX STI and Outback models.

A 25.9 per cent increase in WRX and WRX STI sales over last February beat the previous record, set in 2009, by 9.7 per cent, while Impreza sales jumped 15.4 per cent from the same month last year, marking a 5.5 per cent increase from the previous record set the year before.

Robust Outback sales were also up 16.5 per cent over last February.

"ALG (Automotive Lease Guide) recently named Subaru the Best Mainstream Brand for highest overall predicted resale value for the second year in a row while also awarding us individual segment awards for our Impreza, WRX, WRX STI and Outback models," said Shiro Ohta, president and CEO of SCI.

"In addition, recent awards such as Motoring 2011's Best Sports/Performance Car of the year for our WRX, WRX STI and Outback's win in Canadian Black Book's Best Retained Value Awards have opened even more consumers' eyes to the true value inherent across our well-balanced line-up."

Every Subaru sold in Australia features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a horizontally opposed Boxer engine, standard Vehicle Dynamics Control electronic stability program, and a five-star rating for occupant safety from the independent Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). The result - driving confidence.
