Subaru sales for February totalled a strong 3,151 units, up an impressive 19.4% for the month and still representing positive (0.2%) growth year-to-date; in a market up only 1.6% for the month and down -1.5% year-to-date.
Sales success for Subaru throughout February was led by Forester, which achieved its best start to the year (February year-to-date) on record, with last month contributing an impressive 1,258 units (up 24.7% for the month and a 22.2% increase year-to-date). Forester sales success outstripped the segment which grew 15.4% for the month and only 5.7% year-to-date.
Excited customers continue to take delivery of the new generation Subaru BRZ, with last month’s 80 deliveries (up 70.2% for the month and a 185.5% increase year-to-date) delivering the best February result for the sports coupe on record.
BRZ’s success is even more notable considering the segment is down -13.9% for the month and -29.9% year-to-date.
XV contribution to overall Subaru sales results were 1,007, up 75.1% for the month and 25.2% year-to-date in a segment that contracted -1.6% for the month and -1.9% year-to-date.
