Kids’ Cast Series > Episode 4

Host: Andrew Daddo

About this episode...

Did you know that bees are one of the most industrious and important insects on the planet? It’s easy to take these tiny creatures for granted and think that all they do is produce delicious honey, but their role is so much bigger.

Podcast host, Andrew Daddo meets Cedar Anderson, a Byron Bay beekeeper who provides amazing insight into the strict roles in bee society, how they produce honey, why some bees dance, and why so many species of animals and plants are alive because of them.

Cedar is also the inventor of the Flow Hive – which, unlike traditional bee boxes, allows you to harvest honey without opening the hive and with minimal disturbance to the bees.

There’s also a quiz at the end of the episode so remember to listen hard to score the most points.

Ok, All buckled up and buzzing to go? Let's fly!
