POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Subaru Warranty Specialist will be responsible for administrating warranty claims according to the warranty polices. This role will also be responsible for launching and managing the Recall & Service Campaigns.This role would suit someone within Inchcape who is looking for a different opportunity within the group.

The Warranty Adjudicator will report to this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Aftersales Managers and dealer network on warranty related matters:

  • Use Factory information and local bulletins to advice on warranty claims.
  • Provide assistance to the Dealer network with advice and/or practical assistance in the resolution of all claims (including training).
  • Manage exchange programs.

Report to Technical and Finance teams on warranty trends:

  • Supply warranty data and campaigns cost analysis.
  • Flag product/parts issues.

Responsible for dealers/factory on warranty claims both Subaru and Subaru Corporation (SBR):

  • Adjudicate claims on a timely manner.
  • Goodwill Authorisation.
    • Submit claims on time - monthly Warranty report, Warranty submission to SBR.
    • Maintaining warranty records for Taxation Auditing.

Responsible for Recalls and Service campaigns:

  • Launching and managing Recalls and Service Campaigns.
  • Report monthly to Factory and Government on recalls/service campaign progress.
  • Maintain campaign records for Government Auditing.

Management:

  • Manage the Warranty Adjudicator, coaching and mentoring them in their role & providing development opportunities

Support SBR on Product Investigation

  • Parts collections and distribution
  • Technical Report to SBR

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Technically Trained
  • Warranty experience at automotive dealership or OEM level essential – minimum of 3 to 5 years experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, with sound knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with enterprise software such as SAP
  • Automotive technical trade qualification
  • A full NSW drivers licence
