Subaru Australia is thrilled to announce the launch of the Subaru Great Australian Detour Kids’ Cast, an exciting new podcast designed for kids and grown-ups to enjoy together.

Subaru Australia have been celebrating millions of moments with over a million families since 1973, because life is not just about getting from A to B, it’s the moments shared along the way. Now, they are going to help Aussie families laugh, learn and enjoy the journey even more, with the launch of their new podcast.

Based off the television series Subaru’s Great Australian Detour and hosted by Andrew Daddo, this entertaining and educational podcast series aims to engage young minds and foster co-listening experiences for families on the road, or anywhere.

Whilst the Great Australian Detour television series is a feast for the eyes and inspires jumping in a Subaru and heading out on a family road trip, the podcast provides the perfect soundtrack for the journey.

The Subaru Great Australian Detour Kids’ Cast takes listeners young and not so young on a thrilling adventure, exploring a wide range of topics in a fun and interactive manner that celebrates why Australia is such a great place to live.

From fascinating facts about wildlife and nature to intriguing stories about people, places and experiences, this podcast offers an engaging learning experience for all ages.

Trent Whitechurch, National Marketing Manager at Subaru Australia, expressed his enthusiasm for this innovative initiative, saying, “At Subaru, we believe in nurturing curiosity, creating unforgettable experiences, and enjoying the journey as much as the destination.

“Our Great Australian Detour Kids Cast has been designed to make those journeys, whether long or short just that little bit more fun and turn the ‘are we there yet’ into ‘can we play the next episode’. It’s like a modern twist on eye spy with my little eye. We think the grownups might enjoy it just as much as the kids and hope everyone learns a thing or two along the way.”

By combining education and entertainment, the Subaru Great Australian Detour Kids’ Cast encourages children to expand their knowledge while providing an opportunity for parents or carers and their kids to bond during car rides. This captivating podcast arrives just in time for school holidays and is the perfect companion on family road trips.

Host, children’s author, and Subaru Australia Ambassador Andrew Daddo shared his excitement for the podcast: “This is a great podcast to be part of as it brings together three things I truly love – Australia, our stories and the people who bring them to life.

“We launch for the school holidays - so the timing’s perfect for families road tripping to somewhere special.  It’ll be eyes up and looking out the window, enjoying the drive together while learning some great stuff.  And, best of all, it’s fun.”

Subaru Australia encourages families across the country to tune in to the podcast and to laugh, learn and enjoy their journeys together.
