Subaru Canada January record

Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) has set a new January sales record, retailing 1729 vehicles.

The figure is up 45.8 per cent over January 2009. It also surpassed SCI’s previous record January, in 2008, by 43.8 per cent.

Subaru’s sales continue to grow faster than any other Japanese brand in Canada.

It was also the best January for Forester and Outback.  Forester sales were up 26.8 percent, and Outback 382.9 on January 2009.

"Subaru's sales momentum is continuing to build in 2010 due to the quality, durability and reliability of our vehicles," said Katsuhiro Yokoyama, president and CEO of SCI. "Subaru was recently named the top mainstream brand in ALG's (Automotive Lease Guide) Canadian Residual Value Awards, and we're also the only manufacturer with 2010 IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) Top Safety Picks for every model. These important honours serve to reinforce consumer confidence in our award-winning line-up of vehicles."
