Forester's September sales record

The new generation Subaru Forester has maintained its status as Australia’s best-selling Sports Utility Vehicle year-to-date, according to official VFACTS figures released today.

Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Forester sales of 1162 made it a best-ever September figure for the model, up 14.8 per cent over the same month last year and 18.5 per cent YTD, with sales now at 10,832.

Total Subaru sales of 3160 vehicles gave the company a market share for the month of 3.9 per cent.

Strong Impreza sales of 1111 also placed it 10.4 per cent ahead YTD, following the recent introduction of normally aspirated sedan variants, to be followed by Impreza WRX sedan in December.

Liberty sales of 505 were 3.3 per cent ahead of the previous September.

Outback sales of 317 combined with Forester to make Subaru the dominant brand in the SUV Compact category, with 23.5 per cent of the segment.

Tribeca sales of 65 mean the model is now ahead 25.0 per cent YTD.
