Subaru of America, Inc. reported its best ever May sales of 18,436 vehicles.
Retail sales were up 13 per cent over May 2007, driven by strong consumer demand.
New generation Forester was up 66 percent, with 6412 sales.
Legacy (known in Australia as Liberty) sold 1973, up 11 per cent.
Outback sold 6512, while Impreza sales of 4301 were up eight per cent. Tribeca sold 1211, up four per cent.
“Thanks to the tremendous job our Subaru Retailers are doing and our strong products, we had another exceptional month of retail sales,” said Tim Colbeck, vice president of sales for Subaru of America.
“Additionally, with great press in Motor Trend, USA Today and other leading publications, we look forward to continued strong sales.”
