Subaru of America reports record April sales

Subaru of America, Inc. has reported record April sales of 16,771 vehicles.
 
Retail sales were up 22 per cent over the same month in 2007.
 
Sales of all models increased, with Forester and Impreza achieving April records.
 
New generation Forester was up 49 percent to 5339 sales, while Legacy was up 32 percent to 1890.
 
Impreza sold 4010, up 16 per cent, Tribeca 1395, up 29 per cent and Outback 4137, up 1 per cent.
 
Tim Colbeck, vice president of sales for Subaru of America, said: “It is nice to see growth in each of our car lines, especially in a tough economy.
 
“Our all-new Forester is off to a great start and to add to the excitement it just won a Crossover SUV comparison with its competitors in the June edition of Motor Trend. With these strong products and dealers we are well positioned to continue to build on these successful results.”
